Our Cardamom has a strong, sweet, pungent flavour and aroma, with hints of lemon and mint. It's produced in Guatemala and is a common ingredient in Indian and Middle Eastern cooking. We love using this spice when making Indian tea.
The pod contains a number of seeds and can be used whole or ground. If you're thinking of using this spice in your cooking, it works well in sweet dishes and also savoury dishes and is a top pick amongst its rivals, black cardamom and white cardamom.
Cardamom is best kept sealed in air-tight bags or containers. To remove the seeds, lightly fry the pods in a pan on low heat and gently remove the seeds. Do not throw away the pods, you can keep the pods to use in coffee! This wonderful spice has been used for thousands of years to help with digestion, ulcers and to reduce blood sugar levels.

We love all of the spices that we sell, and we’re sure that our wonderful garlic powder will help you to find something that’s missing in your recipes. Adding an earthy warmth and a gentle savory flavor to recipes, you’re sure to enjoy the delights of this spice.
We love to use garlic powder in any number of our recipes, as it adds an unmistakable and unique savory hit which is sure to enhance a meal that it’s added to. For example, if you’re cooking a wonderfully warming winter stew, a gentle sprinkle of some garlic powder will help to give a potent addition to the aroma that is sure to entice people into the kitchen.
Of course, garlic is already a delicious ingredient in its own right and definitely has a place in recipes. That said, while garlic powder can be a completely different flavor to fresh garlic, we genuinely believe it’s a really useful tool in the kitchen. There’s no shortage of recipes where it can really help out. But our favorite use is in savory sauces. More often than not, we find that when our sauces are missing something, a dash or two of garlic powder will sort it out.
We believe in the flavor and utility of all of our herbs and spices, but this is one that we definitely wouldn’t be able to live without: it goes in nearly everything!
To store our garlic powder, make sure to keep it in an air-tight container. The powder is designed to dissolve when it comes into contact with liquid, and it can even begin to dissolve in the steamy environment of a kitchen. To avoid this, an airtight container is your best bet. Please reach out if you have any questions at all, we’re always happy to help out!
