Gluten-Free Pesto Pasta with Asparagus and Broccoli

The taste of fresh pesto cannot be compared with any shop bought pesto! Pesto and pasta go together like a match made in heaven.  Especially a homemade vegan pesto that I’ve used in this 15-minute, vegan, gluten-free pesto pasta with asparagus and broccoli recipe.  Make the pesto, fridge it and use it in a wide range of dishes during the week.  It also tastes nice in sandwiches and in fresh salads. Use any pasta, but in this case, we’ve used a gluten-free, vegan pasta from Tescos.

Cook & prep time: 15 mins


  1. Boil the gluten-free pasta, drain and leave it on the side
  2. Whilst the pasta boils, in a pan, heat a little coconut oil
  3. Add broccoli and asparagus and stir-fry for about 2 minutes
  4. Sprinkle some pink Himalayan salt and pepper and reduce the heat
  5. Add homemade pesto to the pan and mix
  6. Now add the gluten-free pasta and mix well
  7. Take off the heat and serve with Violife’s vegan version of grated Parmesan and a squeeze of lemon juice
